2014 Wrangler JKU | Customer Build

ExtremeTerrain Highlights a Solid, Trail-Ready Rig

PAOLI, Pa. (January 10th, 2022) – Parts authority, ExtremeTerrain (XT) releases another episode in its “Customer Builds” YouTube series. Popular with the Jeepin’ community, the series aims to gather insight and inspiration to help Wrangler owners on the lookout for their next mod. For this video, the spotlight is on a trail-ready 2014 Wrangler JKU owned by Peter Newall from Texas. XT’s Merideth Evasew hosts the interview, digging in to uncover the reasons behind each upgrade.

Peter begins with a description of his suspension setup which allows him to tow a teardrop trailer almost anywhere his Jeep can go. Exterior mods include a front and rear bumper from DV8 Off-Road, a 12,500-pound winch, tire carrier, metal fenders, and rock sliders. Moving onto lighting, Peter says he has enough to “power a lighthouse.” Inside, Peter removed the back seat to customize his rig for camping. The dual air compressor under the seat allows him to fill up his tires faster than normal. The video wraps with a look at the 6.4-liter HEMI up under the hood, along with a chat about what’s in store for this inspirational build.

XT’s customer builds series gives viewers an inside look at what fellow Jeepers are working on, and how the parts look and function before they pull the trigger. 2021 Ford Bronco vs Jeep JL | Throttle Out

ExtremeTerrain’s New Video Compares Two Popular Rigs

PAOLI, Pa. (September 29th, 2021) – ExtremeTerrain (XT) fuels a friendly battle in its latest “Throttle Out” YouTube video. The newly released episode was shot on location at Rausch Creek Off-Road Park in Pennsylvania, the ideal setting for a 2021 Ford Bronco vs Jeep Wrangler JL showdown. The video is hosted by Justin Dugan with help from XT’s Jay Te’o-Mitchell. Justin and Jay test drive each vehicle over three obstacles with observations and customary banter along the way.

Both the Bronco and JL are essentially bone stock except for 33” all-terrain tires. “Today we’re going to keep things pretty tame overall we don’t want to bang these things up too much but believe me when I tell you this is the first of many battles with these things. We’re going to build them up we’re going to come back out here and really go for some gnarly stuff” says Justin. After reviewing the stats on the Bronco and JL Sahara, the vehicles are put to the test beginning with a trail ride and turn, followed by a camel hump and finally a rock crawl.

XT’s newly released “Throttle Out” video puts a 2021 Ford Bronco up against a Jeep JL to see which one holds up better during an off-roading excursion. Viewers will learn the strengths/weaknesses of each vehicle with expectations and insights offered up by XT’s off-road experts. With upcoming Bronco and Jeep mods — and more battles — in the works, viewers are encouraged to subscribe to XT’s YouTube channel to be notified when a new episode is released.

ExtremeTerrain’s Wrangler JL Summer Build

New “Throttle Out” Episode Highlights Top Warm Weather Mods

PAOLI, Pa. (July 5th, 2021) – Aftermarket parts authority, ExtremeTerrain (XT) is back with another episode of their “Throttle Out” YouTube video series. The video zeroes in on the top five Jeep Wrangler JL mods for those warm-weather adventures. Hosted by XT’s Merideth Evasew, the episode covers her recommendations for protection, security, and efficiency on and off the trail.

As the name implies, a solar screen cover provides UV protection for passengers while also preventing any fading to the interior. Keeping with the open-air experience, Merideth’s next choice is to install front and rear Jeep tube doors for added security and off-road styling.  Moving into the cab area, a set of neoprene seat covers offers comfort and protection against moisture, dirt, and debris. With the top off, a security deck enclosure is a must-have to protect the entire cargo storage area. Merideth’s final pick is a cold air intake to keep the motor running efficiently when temperatures rise.

XT’s Wrangler JL summer build video gives Jeep owners the warm weather advantage with five mods that offer style, protection, and improved performance. Complete product details for each mod along with detailed customer reviews can be found at extremeterrain.com.
